The people at Groupe Metalogique consider themselves privileged and want to pay it forward when the opportunity arises. Here are some of our social commitments.
Hats Off to You!
The Hats Off to You! contest showcases the determination and work of young women enrolled in a vocational or technical training program leading to work in a traditionally male-dominated occupation. The candidates are invited to talk about what motivates them and their future projects.
Christian Fortier was a volunteer judge in the New Technologies category for the 2017 edition, where he reviewed application forms and selected the winner with the help of the other members of the panel.
CHU sans frontière
The CHU sans frontières program is designed to allow families with premature children and living far away to connect with their child who has to stay at the Centre mère-enfant for treatments.
At the heart of the solution is a video link that allows the family to see their baby in real time at the hospital from their computer, tablet or phone (camera reservation system, photos of the children and tables following the evolution of the baby (size and weight)). Strengthening the bond with the baby improves recovery and helps the extended family keep their spirits up.
Groupe Metalogique has graciously provided the development team to implement the solution.
On Saturday May 30th, 2015, 9 employees from Groupe Metalogique climbed the 487 steps of the Montmorency Falls 60 times during the Kilimandjaro Challenge. The challenge consisted in climbing 5,892 meters, the equivalent of the famous African mountain.
The challenge’s objective was to collect money for research in neurosurgery. Groupe Metalogique made a contribution of $1,515.

Ice Canoe Team
In sports-related events, Groupe Metalogique has been sponsoring the Metalogique ice canoe team since 2013 as part of the Coupe des glaces event.
LThe sponsorship allows Robert Bouchard, an employee with Groupe Metalogique, and his team to use competitive equipment during races. In doing so, Groupe Metalogique promotes the values it holds dear: healthy lifestyle, surpassing oneself, team work and adaptability.
